    Oyo Govt To Commence Second Phase of SAfER Palliatives By March Ending, Approves N184m To Repair Police Armoured Personnel Carriers

    In Continuation of it’s efforts to cushion the effect of the fuel subsidy remover which has brought hardship on the people of the state, the State Oyo State Government has announced that the Second Phase of the Sustainable Action for Economic Recovery (SAfER) initiative, wll commence at the end of March 2024.

    The State Commissioner for Information and orientation, Prince Dotun Oyelade, gave the hint during a press briefing shortly after an executive council meeting on Thursday.


    Briefing newsmen the outcome of the Executive Council meeting held at the Executive Chambers of Governor’s office, Agodi Ibadan, the state commissioner for Information and orientation, Prince Dotun Oyelade Said that that state government would commence the second Phase of Sustainable Action for Economic Recovery (SAfER) initiative, after it had appraised the first Phase which they noted it had positive effects on the people of the state.

    Also speaking, the state commissioner for Justice and attorney general, Abiodun Aikomo said that the state is not relenting in beefing up the state Security Architecture as it had approved and awarded a contract in the some of One hundred and Eighty Four Million Naira to rehabilitate some Armored Personnel carriers of the Nigeria Police Force Oyo State Command.

    Still on Police affairs, the state Commissioner for budget and economic planning, Professor Babatunde Musibau, also hinted the state readiness to support the Nigeria Police, Oyo State Command, in hosting the 14th biannual Police in the state.

    According to Prof. Babatunde, the state would give support in the area of Transportation, Sporting Facilities, Health, among others.

    In attendance was the Chief Press Secretary to the state governor, Mr Sulaimon Olanrewaju.
