The Chief of Staff to the Governor of Oyo State, Otunba (Dr.) Segun Ogunwuyi, has been formally inducted as a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Administration (CIA), a prestigious professional recognition reserved for distinguished leaders in public administration and governance.

The fellowship was conferred on him in recognition of his outstanding contributions to public service, institutional leadership, and strengthening of governance systems in Nigeria.

Widely regarded as one of the key drivers behind the administrative efficiency of the Makinde administration, he has earned recognition as a disciplined strategist and an effective public sector manager.

An accomplished governance professional, Ogunwuyi holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Business Administration and has built a distinguished career spanning public administration, financial management, governance strategy, and institutional development.

His induction as a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Administration further adds to an impressive portfolio of professional certifications and memberships that reflect his expertise in finance, public policy, taxation, and strategic management.

Ogunwuyi is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified System Accountants, a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Finance Professionals, USA (FCFP) and an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria (ACTI).

In addition, he holds the globally recognised APMG Certified Public-Private Partnership (PPP) Professional – Preparation Certification, reflecting his expertise in infrastructure financing, public-private collaboration, and development-driven investment frameworks.

Earlier in his professional journey, he was admitted as a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of National Accountants (FCNA) and is a Professional Member of the Financial Reporting Council of Nigeria. He is also a Member of the Nigerian Institute of Business Strategy.

His strong foundation in financial systems and enterprise management is further demonstrated by his SAP FICO Certification in Financial Accounting and Controlling, one of the world’s leading enterprise resource planning certifications.

Across his professional and public service career, Otunba Ogunwuyi has consistently demonstrated a rare combination of academic excellence, financial expertise, governance experience, and strategic leadership capacity.

Observers note that his broad spectrum of professional recognitions, combined with his deep involvement in the policy and administrative architecture of the current Oyo State government, positions him among the most experienced and intellectually grounded leaders of his generation.

With extensive experience in governance coordination, fiscal management, policy implementation, and strategic planning, Ogunwuyi continues to exemplify the qualities of a modern public administrator committed to sustainable development, institutional reform, and effective leadership.

The latest fellowship from the Chartered Institute of Administration further underscores his standing as a highly accomplished professional and a leading voice in Nigeria’s evolving governance landscape.
