In an effort to ensure a fair and equitable hiring process, the Oyo State Hospitals Management Board has extended the application deadline for various job positions within the state’s healthcare system.

According to the board’s chairman, Akin Fagbemi, (PhD.), the extension, which pushes the application window to June 23rd, will allow for more people to apply, especially those who experienced technical difficulties during the initial period.

Fagbemi emphasised that the extension is a result of the board’s commitment to providing a transparent and unbiased selection process, stating that: “the best candidates will be chosen based on merit and competence.”

With the extension, prospective applicants now have an opportunity to apply for positions such as medical officers, laboratory scientists, radiographers, nurses, and pharmacists.

These positions are in high demand as Oyo State seeks to improve the quality of healthcare services available to its citizens.

Similarly, the board also promised that all applications will be reviewed carefully, with those meeting the required qualifications being invited for interviews.

Fagbemi noted that the extension is also in line with the state government’s drive to promote employment and economic growth in the state.

He, however, urged interested candidates to take advantage of the extension to submit their applications through the board’s designated online portal.
