The Chairman of the Oyo State Housing Corporation, Hon. Ademola Omotoso, has lauded Governor Seyi Makinde for his visionary leadership and commitment to infrastructural development, particularly with the ongoing upgrade of Ibadan Airport.

Hon. Omotoso, in a statement released at the corporation’s headquarters in Ibadan, expressed his profound appreciation for the governor’s strategic focus on enhancing the state’s transportation sector. He highlighted that the upgrade, which includes runway expansion, modern terminal facilities, and improved security measures, will not only boost Oyo State’s economy but also position Ibadan as a major gateway for international and domestic air traffic.

According to Hon. Omotoso, the Ibadan Airport upgrade is a testament to Governor Makinde’s dedication to creating a conducive environment for both residents and investors. He emphasized that the project, when completed, would significantly reduce travel time, attract foreign direct investment, and promote tourism within the state, ultimately contributing to its economic growth.

“The upgrade of Ibadan Airport is a bold step that will bring countless benefits to the people of Oyo State. It aligns perfectly with Governor Makinde’s roadmap for accelerated development, which prioritizes key infrastructure projects that stimulate economic activities and improve the standard of living,” Omotoso remarked.

He further noted that the airport project is in line with the administration’s focus on expanding business opportunities and ensuring that Oyo State becomes an attractive hub for investors. “With Ibadan strategically located as a central city in the southwestern region, the airport upgrade will serve as a major catalyst for business growth, not only within the state but across Nigeria.”

Hon. Omotoso also extended his commendation to the Oyo State Ministry of Works and Transport for its diligent supervision and coordination of the project. He urged all stakeholders to support the governor’s efforts in transforming the state’s infrastructure, stressing the need for collaboration in achieving the administration’s vision for a prosperous Oyo State.

In conclusion, the Housing Corporation Chairman reaffirmed his unwavering support for Governor Makinde’s administration and called on the people of Oyo State to continue backing the government’s developmental strides. He expressed optimism that the upgraded Ibadan Airport will soon become a pride of the state, serving as a key driver of progress and prosperity for generations to come.
