In his commitment to advancing quality education in his local government, the lawmaker representing Akinyele Constituency 1 at the Oyo State House of Assembly, Hon Lekan Abiola has successfully distributed 30 free JAMB forms to underprivileged students in the council area.
The distribution of these JAMB forms stands as a cornerstone initiative undertaken by the astute parliamentarian with the primary objective of elevating the literacy standards in his constituency.
Hon. Abiola who is the House Committee Chairman on Establishment and Training, emphasized that the goal goes beyond merely providing quality education; it extends to offering unique opportunities that will adequately prepare these students for tertiary education.
According to the performing lawmaker, “education is pivotal, and the key lies in affording everyone willing to study the opportunity to receive a well-rounded education.
“This initiative, he stated, is a testament to their commitment to ensuring that education becomes accessible to all.
Hon Abiola offered his advice to the beneficiaries, urging them to concentrate on their studies and aspire for excellence in their educational pursuits.
Some of the students who spoke with newsmen shortly after receiving their free JAMB forms expressed their profound gratitude to the lawmaker noting that it would have impossible for them to further their academic pursuit owing to the current economic challenges in the country.
The emotional students prayed that God would continue to bless the lawmaker as he helped in transforming their lives.
