Born to the Family of Pa and Mrs. E. A. Akinleye of the renowned Akinleye family of Ibadan.
Hon. Ayobami Akinwole AKINLEYE is a graduate of accounting with a post graduate degree in Managerial Psychology.
He is a certified Forensic Accountant and also a certified Transport and Logistics Expert.
Having worked and rose to become the Group Logistics Manager of GZ Group in Ikoyi Lagos, He worked with Global Apex Logistics Ilupeju Lagos as Senior Manager Operations responsible for inbound and Outbound Supply Chain and managed key accounts including British American Tobacco, Friesland Campina, Procter and Gamble, Lafarge Cement and many others.
Wole Akinleye achieved a career milestone by becoming part of the team that secured Dollar denominated loan for a non-listed Supply Chain and Logistics Company Global Apex Logistics, as Senior Manager Operations in 2006.
Hon Wole Akinleye became a consultant to Fidelity Bank on Asset and Remedial Services as the Managing Director of the Kingscourt Integrated Logistics Company Limited. Ayobami Akinwole AKINLEYE a board room guru also served as an Executive Director Operations on the board of RHL Logistics and manages the outbound and inbound operations of the Nigerian German Chemicals Industries.
Hon. Wole Akinleye first incurred into Politics in the Year 2010 when he contested for the AKINYELE/LAGELU Federal Constituency in 2011 under ANPP.
He returned to the Private sector to manage the Fleet of Truluck Logistics with first Outbound Supply of beverage cans to beverage manufacturing companies like GZi and Alucan manufacturing companies. Mr. Wole Akinleye also served as visiting Manager to Joza Global Logistics Limited for the Eastern and Western operations of Nigerian Breweries Plc.
Ambassador. Ayobami Akinwole AKINLEYE was honoured as an Ambassador of the Forensic Guard of Nigeria, in 2023 as a member of the Forensic Professional of Nigeria as a Forensic Accountant.
After years of Experience in the private sector Hon. Wole Akinleye in a quest to serve his beloved State Joined the services of the Oyo State Pacesetter Transport Company Limited as Operations Manager in 2013 before becoming the General Manager of the State Owned Company. Wole Akinleye was reabsorbed into the state company by the magnanimity of His Excellency Engr. Seyi Makinde Administration in 2020 as General Manager where he retired meritoriously in 2023.
In his bid to continue serving his State, and more closely the people of AKINYELE Local Government Hon. Wole Akinleye clinched the ticket of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) for the forthcoming Local Government Elections in Oyo State, thus becoming the standard flag bearer in the forthcoming Local Government Elections in Akinyele Local Government for the Ruling party the PDP.
Hon. Wole Akinleye a grounded Party man is well loved by members of the PDP in Akinyele LG and beyond due to his humane and pragmatic approach to issues.
Hon. Wole Akinleye was the pioneer President of the Alumni Association of his set for his Alma Mater, Methodist Grammar School Bodija Ibadan. He is also a member of the Board of Trustee of the Central Alumni of the Old Students Association of Methodist Grammar School Bodija Ibadan, his Alma Mater. He has served on the inaugural School Governing Board representing the Old Students Association.
In 2015 the National Association of Technicians and Automobile Association (NATA) conferred on Hon. Wole Akinleye the title of AKOGUN of NATA in recognition of his contribution to the society and the transportation industry in Oyo State.
A recipient of OMILUABI PATAKI award in 2022, Hon. Wole Akinleye has received numerous awards for his professional and societal contributions.
Hon. Wole Akinleye is married and blessed with children.
He is also a Sports enthusiast and also involved in farming and other community service oriented projects.
