Oyo Speaker Rejoices With Hon. Owolabi, Benedict Akika, Wife Over Conferment of Chieftaincy Titles

The Speaker, Oyo State House of Assembly, Hon. Adebo Ogundoyin has rejoiced with member representing Ibadan North East 2 State Constituency in the House, Hon. Olusola Owolabi on his conferment of the traditional title of Balogun of Akobo Ojurin in Ibadan.

This is just as the Speaker also congratulated a People’s Democratic Party, PDP Chieftain in Oyo State Chief Benedict Akika and his wife, Chief Mrs. Abidemi Akika on their installation as the Mayegun of Akobo and Yeye Mayegun of Akobo respectively.

In a congratulatory message, the Speaker said the conferment of the chieftaincy titles on these great personalities was a testament and a confirmation of their impeccable character and unalloyed commitment to humanitarian activities.

The Speaker described Chief Benedict Akika and his wife Chief Mrs Abidemi Akika who were installed as the new Mayegun and Ye Mayegun of Akobo Ojurin in Ibadan as befitting of the honours.

In his words ” The Mayegun of Akobo and the Yeye Mayegun of Akobo are another two great individuals who are selfless and unassuming. I am happy that your dedication and commitment to the upliftment of the society is being rewarded.
