The Executive Chairman of Oyo West Local Government, Prince Salami Babatunde Akeem (Olukitibi), on Thursday, June 25, 2026, led the Management Team of the Local Government, Political Functionaries, and Party Loyalists on an Inspection Visit to the Ongoing Construction of Asphaltic Tarring and Pavement on Ladindin–Ojongbodu–Isheke Road.
The inspection was aimed at assessing the quality and pace of work being executed by the Contractor, as part of the Local Government’s commitment to ensuring the successful delivery of impactful infrastructural projects for the benefit of the people.
Speaking during the visit, Prince Salami expressed profound appreciation to the Executive Governor of Oyo State, His Excellency, Engr. Oluseyi Makinde, FNSE, for approving and facilitating the execution of the strategic road project through Oyo West Local Government. According to the Chairman, the project is another clear demonstration of Governor Makinde’s unwavering commitment to rural development, economic growth, and improved road connectivity across Oyo State.
Olukitibi also extended heartfelt gratitude to the distinguished Senator Monsurat Sunmonu, for her continuous motherly support, invaluable guidance, and steadfast commitment to the progress of Oyo West Local Government and the All Progressives family. He acknowledged her Consistent Encouragement and Leadership, describing her as a Dependable Pillar whose support continues to inspire the administration.
Prince Salami further expressed satisfaction with the quality of work executed so far by the Contractor, commending the professionalism, adherence to engineering standards, and appreciable level of progress recorded on the project. He urged the contractor to sustain the momentum while ensuring that the project is completed within the stipulated timeframe without compromising quality.
He reaffirmed the commitment of his administration to supporting initiatives that improve the welfare of residents and accelerate socio-economic development throughout Oyo West Local Government.
