The Commissioner for Women Affairs & Social Inclusion in Oyo State, Hon.( Mrs.) Toyin Balogun, has emphasised resilience and unity as key themes for 2025.

In her New Year message, she highlighted the Ministry’s commitment to empowering vulnerable populations, particularly women, and urges collective action for community development in the year ahead.

Reflecting on the past year, Mrs. Balogun acknowledged the mix of opportunities and challenges faced by many, including a difficult economic climate that tested the resolve of communities.

Despite these hardships, she expressed optimism that 2025 holds the promise of endless possibilities for growth and progress.

The Commissioner stressed the importance of resilience and determination in overcoming last year’s challenges, calling for a united effort to break old limitations and create new opportunities.

She reaffirmed the Ministry’s dedication to empowering women and investing in youth, regardless of gender, while fostering an enabling environment for women, children, the elderly, and persons with disabilities to thrive.

Mrs. Balogun highlighted core values of unity, progress, and accountability as essential for community development, aligning with the vision of Governor Seyi Makinde.

She extended warm wishes to all citizens, particularly those in vulnerable communities, including women, children, the elderly, and the indigent.

Calling for a spirit of peace and collaboration, she emphasized that the strength of the community lies in its diversity and shared aspirations.

“By promoting understanding and inclusivity, the Ministry aims to enhance the well-being of families and neighborhoods across the state.”

In her concluding remarks, the Commissioner urged all citizens to actively engage in the various interventions and programs that the state government plans to roll out in 2025.

She emphasised the ambitious goal of lifting a minimum of four million family units from poverty to self-sustenance and prosperity, in line with the Omituntun 2.0 Agenda set forth by Governor Makinde.

As the New Year unfolds, Hon. Balogun expressed her heartfelt wishes for peace, joy, and abundant blessings for every family in the state.
