OYRTMA Engages Hausa Community Leaders to Stop Road Obstruction at Sabo
The leadership of Hausa communities in Oyo State, have assured the State Government that taskforce will be established to enforce no to side road parking and display of goods along Sabo area, of Ibadan.
The assurance was given, when Chairman, Oyo State road transport management authority OYRTMA, Major Adesagba Adekoya, retired, met with Seriki Hausawa of Ibadanland, Ali Zungeru and his council of chiefs at his Sabo palace, Ibadan
Major Adekoya, revealed that the meeting was to seek for corporation of Hausa communities leaders, in order to ensure safety on the road.
He promised to seek the permission of commissioner for youth and sports development, Wasilat Adegoke, to allow people around Sabo to use premises of Lekan Salami stadium, as parking space and generate revenue for the state.
The OYRTMA Chairman, urged motorists in Oyo state to be law abiding, adding that no one is respectant of law.
While reacting to the order of the Oyo state Road Transport Management Authority, Seriki Hausawa of Ibadanland, Ali Zungeru, while commending peaceful approach of Oyo state government, pledged readiness to support and collaborate with government actions towards serene and safety environment.
