OYRTMA GETS FIRST FEMALE ZONAL COMMANDER IN OGBOMOSHO
The Oyo State Road Transport Management Authority (OYRTMA) has appointed its first female Commandant for Ogbomosho Zone, Comm. Ibrahim Medinat Ayanbunmi to superintend the activities of the Authority across the Zone and its environs.
Disclosing this during a one-day training workshop organized for all Commanders and Head of Units of the Authority yesterday 16th April, 2021, The Executive Chairman, Mogaji (Dr.) Akin Fagbemi said the appointment of the Commandant was on merit and recommendation describing her as a committed, dedicated, honest and hardworking officer whose activities aimed at easing traffic flow in the zone has been widely adjudged as excellent.
In his words, Dr. Fagbemi said, “Sequel to management decision arrived at after due consultations with relevant stakeholders, I am pleased to announce the appointment of Comm. Ibrahim Medinat Ayanbunmi as the new Commandant of the Ogbomosho Zone. She has been a dedicated Officer with in-depth understanding of road traffic rules and regulations coupled with her years of practical experience in the field of traffic management. Her appointment is therefore on merit and recommendations.
While I charge her to remain committed and at all times exhibit professionalism in the discharge of her new roles in the zone, I implore her to show leadership and live up the huge responsibilities attached to her office”, he said.
While thanking the people of Ogbomosho for their cooperation with OYRTMA officials in executing its core mandate of ensuring free flow of human and vehicular traffic across the Zone, the Executive Chairman added that the appointment takes immediate effect and could be terminated at any time in accordance with the extant laws of the Authority.
