    OYSHMB Strengthen Partnership with Visiting UCH Consultants for Better Healthcare Service Delivery

    The Chairman of Oyo State Hospitals’ Management Board and his management team had a strategic meeting with some consultants from the University College Hospital (UCH), Ibadan, to discuss ways to improve healthcare services in various health facilities within the state.

    Speaking during the meeting, the Chairman of Oyo State Hospitals’ Management Board (OYSHMB), Dr. Akin Fagbemi, said the meeting would signal the beginning of a fruitful collaboration between the board and the teaching hospital.


    He added that the state government and the state hospital’s management board would do everything within their capacity to provide good working conditions for the consultancy to work to their optimum level, complementing the good work of His Excellency, Engr. Oluseyi Makinde, FNSE, in providing qualitative, affordable, and accessible healthcare services to the people of Oyo State.

    Dr. Fagbemi appreciated the consultants for the good job they had been doing in the various health facilities within the state and promised them a robust relationship with the board and good working conditions.

    In his remarks, The leader of the University Teaching Hospital Consultant team, Dr. Dare Olulana, said the existing cordial relationship between the University College Hospital (UCH) and the Oyo State Hospitals’ Management Board (OYSHMB) would continue to exist for the benefit of the good people of the state and Nigeria as a whole.

    He emphasized the need for training medical personnel from all facilities by the consultants in various facilities and support for accreditation of the dental department in hospitals within the state.

    Dr. Olulana praised His Excellency, Engr. Oluseyi Makinde, FNSE, for appointing Dr. Akin Fagbemi as the Chairman of Oyo State Hospitals’ Management Board (OYSHMB), saying his leadership role was excellent.

    The Permanent Secretary in the board, Dr. Anifat Ibraheem, thanked the consultants from UCH for their support in providing good and qualitative healthcare delivery and complementing the good work of Governor Makinde in sustainable healthcare delivery to the good people of Oyo State.

    Present at the meeting were the Chairman of the board, Dr. Akin Fagbemi; the Permanent Secretary, Dr. Anifat Ibraheem; the representative of the CMD of UCH, Dr. Obaro; the consultants with the hospital’s management board; and the directors in the board.
