…Sympathises with Victims of Ibadan Building Collapse
Hon. Olufemi Ajibade, a prominent chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and CEO of Femi Adewumi Ajibade Foundation (FAAJ), has expressed his deep sorrow over the passing of former Akinyele Local Government Chairman, Hon. Taoreed. Ajibade described his death as a significant loss to the community and the political landscape of the region.
According to him, “Hon. Taoreed was a dedicated public servant who devoted his life to the betterment of his constituents.”
“His leadership and commitment to the people of Akinyele will be sorely missed. He was not just a politician; he was a friend to many and a mentor to younger leaders.”
Ajibade extended his condolences to the family of the deceased, highlighting the profound impact Taoreed had on those who knew him.
In addition to mourning Taoreed’s passing, Hon. Ajibade also addressed the recent tragic building collapse in Ibadan, which left scores dead, many injured and displaced.
He expressed his sympathies to the victims and their families, urging the government and relevant authorities to take immediate action to provide support and assistance to those affected by this disaster.
“The loss of lives and the suffering caused by this unfortunate incident is heartbreaking. I call upon the state government to ensure that adequate relief measures are put in place to assist the victims and their families during this difficult time.”
He emphasised the importance of swift action in providing medical care, temporary housing, and other forms of support to those impacted by the collapse.
“We must ensure that our communities are safe, and that structures are built to withstand the test of time and the elements,” he insisted.
