With the recent outbreak of cholera in some part of the country, House of Representatives aspirant from Oluyole Federal Constituency, Otunba (Hon) Olusina John Ogunsola has urged residents of Oyo State to maintain highest standard of hygiene and sanitation to prevent the outbreak and spread of the deadly disease in the state.
The popular Philanthropists who harped on the need for vigilance, called on all stakeholders to intensify health measures in ensuring that Oluyole local government and the entire State remain cholera-free.
In his address, Otunba Ogunsola specifically called on schools, markets, and food vendors to maintain a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene, as these are common breeding grounds for cholera.
He also admonished school authorities to ensure that proper hand washing facilities were provided and used regularly by students, while market and food vendors should ensure their stalls were kept clean with utmost regard for proper waste disposal in proper sanitary manner.
