The Chairman-elect of Oluyole Local Government, Mr. Akeem Olatunji, has unveiled members of his transition committee ahead of his official inauguration as the Executive Chairman of the Council.

Architect Salaam Azeez and Hon. Nurudeen Akanni have been announced as the chairman and secretary of the transition committee respectively.

Other committee members of the committee include Azeez Babalola, Fela Oluwa, Alh Abdul-Mumini Oyeniyi, Hon. Bolarinwa Olubodun, and Olatunji Sulaiman.

According to Olatunji, the transition committee, comprising individuals with diverse expertise and experience, is tasked with facilitating a smooth and seamless handover process from the outgoing administration to the incoming one.

Olatunji, who noted that the list of his transition committee has since been forwarded to the incumbent chairman, Hon. Olaide Settle for handing over cohesion and efficiency expressed his confidence in the abilities of the appointed committee members to steer the transition process effectively.

He emphasized the importance of cooperation and transparency in ensuring a smooth handover of responsibilities.

“I am pleased to unveil the members of our transition committee, each selected for their expertise and commitment to service.

Together, we will work tirelessly to fulfill our mandate and deliver on the promises made to the good people of Oluyole local government in line with the vision of His Excellency, Governor Seyi Makinde under Sustainable Development Agenda.”

“The announcement has been received with high optimism and anticipation from residents, who view the establishment of the transition committee as a positive step towards governance continuity and development in the local government.

As political disciples of Governor Seyi Makinde and ambassadors of our great party, the PDP, we owe it a duty to replicate our father’s accomplishments at the state level at the grassroots and as we have promised, we intend to hit the ground running immediately.

“We therefore, solicit maximum cooperation and support from all stakeholders including the outgoing government in order to consolidate on the success our party has recorded in Oluyole in terms of providing dividends of democracy to our people.” Olatunji said.
