The People’s Democratic Party, PDP has assured party members and Nigerians that the party’s ongoing internal disputes will soon be resolved.

The National Deputy Chairman (South) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Ambassador Taofeeq Arapaja, stated this on Thursday, January 30, when the party’s National Working Committee (NWC) paid a condolence visit to the Oyo state Governor, Seyi Makinde, over the death of his elder brother, Engr. Sunday Makinde.

Speaking on the matter, Arapaja emphasized to newsmen that PDP, as a “big party” and a “big family,” naturally experiences disagreements but has the capacity to address them internally.

“This is bound to happen as a big party. Everybody knows PDP is a very big party, a big family. I assure you, it will be resolved very soon internally.”

The statement comes amid growing concerns over reported divisions within the party’s leadership and key stakeholders.

While specific details of the disputes were not disclosed, there have been media reports about power struggles and differences in strategic direction ahead of the next electoral cycle come 2027.
