Member representing Ibarapa Central and Ibarapa North Federal Constituency, Hon. (Dr.) Anthony Adebayo Adepoju, has commended the Executive Governor of Oyo State, Engr. Oluwaseyi Makinde, on the construction of the Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP) South West Secretariat.
Governor Makinde had in July 2023, at the commendation service organised in honour of Hon. Olasoji Adagunodo, promised to immortalise the late politician by building a PDP South-West Zonal Office and name it after him.
In his appreciation text on Saturday, November 2, 2024, Hon. Adepoju praised Gov. Makinde’s dedication to the party, describing his intention to immortalise the former National Vice Chairman of the PDP as a way to keep the late politician’s legacy alive and show appreciation for his tremendous contributions to the party.
The lawmaker applauded Gov. Makinde’s reliability, saying the edifice will further ease the activities of the party in the south-west region of Nigeria. According to him, the Governor kept to his words within one year, an attribute he noted is typical of the 5th Governor of Oyo State.
Ibarapakan also congratulated all the South West members of the PDP and Nigeria as a whole on the commissioning of the South West Secretariat of the party, urging leaders of the party, especially the political officeholders, to emulate Makinde’s loyalty and commitment to the overall success of the PDP in the South West and Nigeria as a whole.
