Thousands of Accord Party and All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oke Ogun Zone of Oyo State have dumped their former political parties and defected to the ruling Peoples Democratic Party in Oyo State.
This was as the former House of Representatives member, Hon Shina Peller alongside prominent APC, Accord chieftains and members joined the Peoples Democratic Party.
They were received by PDP leaders in Iseyin on Thursday on behalf of Governor Seyi Makinde.
Peller, a major political force in Oke Ogun Zone of Oyo State was elected in 2019 as House of Representatives member on the platform of APC, he represented Iseyin/Itesiwaju/Kajola/Iwajowa Federal Constituency.
He left the APC for Accord after the Oyo North Senatorial primary election was manipulated in favour of Senator Fatai Buhari.
Peller lost the Senatorial election but decided to pitch his tent with Governor Seyi Makinde for his re-election and the Governor garnered over 22,000 votes in Iseyin local government.
