PHOTOS:Makinde Inspects Schools to Ascertain Level of Compliance
Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde on Monday paid unscheduled visit to some schools in Ibadan metropolis to ensure that primary and secondary school management and students complied with with the guidelines stipulated by the state Covid-19 Task Force on the resumption of schools for pupils and students are at terminal classes.
In some of the schools visited by Makinde in company of the state Commissioner for Education,Science and Technology, Barrister Olasunkanmi Olaleye, SUBEB Chairman,Dr Nureni Adeniran and TESCOM Chairman, Akin Alamu. Governor Makinde expressed satisfaction with the level of compliance from the school management and students.
The schools had washing hand tools placed at the entry points to all the classrooms, students that were allowed into the school premises wore their face masks, they were not more than twenty students per class with strict adherence to physical and social distancing. Food vendors were not allowed into the premises.
The Governor however used the occasion to inspect the schools environment and promised to make the environment conducive for learning noting that education remains one of his cardinal programmes, hence the need to focus more on the education sector.
