Ahead of the 2024 local government elections in Oyo State, and in line with the operational guidelines of the Oyo State Independent Electoral Commission,OYSIEC, the Executive Chairman of Oyo West Local Government and the Chairmanship candidate of the PDP in Oyo West Local Government, Ojongbodu on Thursday 12th October, 2023 received the certificate of return as the dully elected Chairmanship candidate for the People’s Democratic Party for the Local Government Elections in Oyo state.
In an official press release by his Chief Press Secretary/S.A.on Media and Publicity, Amb.Adeyemi, Olukitibi appreciated all the party faithful for their unalloyed supports during the primary elections and promised to keep the flag flying at all times being the party flag bearer in Oyo West Local Government in the next local government elections slated for next year.
“Having received the ticket of the party to contest again as the chairmanship candidate under the platform of our great party,I give thanks to Almighty Allah for another opportunity bestowed upon me as am promising you to do more towards the progress of our beloved model Council.”
The Executive Chairman of Oyo West Local Government,Hon.Prince Akeem Babatunde Salam Olukitibi, reiterated further that it is not yet over until it’s finally over, let’s me at this juncture seek supports from the general public through our party manifestos that the Peoples Democratic Party is the only party that is enshrined with a very resounding manifestoe, the only political party with masses oriented policies.
“In the next few months, OYSIEC would lift ban on electioneering campaigns,may I also use this period to congratulate all our party candidates ahead of the next year local government elections because our amiable Governor Engr.Seyi Makinde has already prepared us a very good blueprints and template and that is what we adopted at the grassroot level therefore, our people at the grassroot have seen the fact by themselves that PDP is the only party that can compliment the efforts of God’s Sent Messiah,Engr.Seyi Abiodun Makinde at the grassroot.
