Ramadan: Let’s Pray For Peace, Unity of Nigeria Says Odidiomo

 

A member of the House of Representatives representing the Ibadan South West/North West constituency, Hon. Dhikrullahi Adedeji Stanley popularly known as Odidiomo, has urged Nigerians to use the month of Ramadan to pray for the peace and unity of the country.

In a message released by his media team, Hon. Odidiomo, emphasized the importance of using the holy month of Ramadan as a period of prayer for the peace and unity of Nigeria.

He urged Muslims across the country to seize the opportunity presented by Ramadan to fervently pray to Allah for His divine intervention, which will propel Nigeria to greater heights. He emphasized the need for Muslims to exhibit love and generosity towards the less privileged in their communities, mirroring the exemplary qualities of Prophet Muhammad (SAW) in humility, forgiveness, and service.

Reflecting on the significance of Ramadan, Hon. Dhikrullahi Adedeji stressed the importance of increased worship and acts of compassion during this sacred period.

He called on Muslims to support charity programs and extend a helping hand to those in need, reaffirming that Ramadan transcends fasting; it is also a time for selflessness and devotion.

“In this holy month of Ramadan, we must continuously pray for Nigeria’s progress and unity, especially during these challenging times. As Muslims, we must uphold the values of self-discipline, generosity, and compassion, as enshrined in the teachings of the Holy Quran and Hadith,” remarked the federal lawmaker.

Through his message, Hon. Dhikrullahi Adedeji reiterated the importance of fostering unity, empathy, and goodwill among Nigerians, emphasizing that collective prayer and acts of kindness are essential in navigating the country towards a brighter future.
