    Recruitment: 2,100 Applicants Sat For OYSHMB MCQ Exam in Ibadan as Dr Fagbemi Hails Makinde For Support

    The Oyo State Hospitals Management Board on Thursday conducted Multiple Choice Test(MCQ) for the medical health workers in the state to fill the gaps left behind by those that have either retired or travelled abroad to seek for greener pasture.

    The MCQ test was conducted at the College of Medicine halls,Lead City University,Ibadan for 1250 shortlisted applicants who received the messages through SMS or Email from the board and additional 850 applicants who were applicants but didn’t received the messages due to one problem or the other.


    The Honourable commissioner for Health,Dr Mrs Oluwaserimi Ajetunmobi who was represented by Dr Faleye advised the applicants to be of good conduct because if the foundation is faulty,the head cannot stand.

    Dr Ajetunmobi therefore gave kudos to the Executive Governor of Oyo State,Engr Oluseyi Makinde for deeming it fit to recruit into all the vacancies position in health sectors especially during this era of seeking greener pasture in abroad by health officers which is an indication to improve the health sector in the state.

    In the words of the chairman of OYSHMB,Dr Akin Fagbemi who thanked His Excellency  Engr Oluseyi Makinde for being magnanimous enough to ensure that the recruitment process for the board takes off.

    He said”it would be recalled that some months ago the Executive Governor approved the recruitment of health workers cadre within the board.

    The chairman further stressed that Omi-Tuntun 2.0 is about sustainable development and health care system plays a key role with regards to the vision of the governor.

    He explained that the examination is not a Computer Based Test(CBT) but rather a Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) for technical questions,where they will be tested based on their technical ability and capability, the successful applicants will move to the next stage of the interview.

    Dr Fagbemi appreciated the Vice Chancellor of the school, Professor Adeyemi and his management team for the opportunity to make use of the college of medicine halls for the examination.

    The Permanent Secretary of the board Dr Anifat Ibraheem appreciate his excellency Engr Oluseyi Makinde for his disposition and magnanimity towards the health family in hiring the good people of Oyo state to the health sector.

    She said the hospital management board is majorly hiring professionals into vacancies position in OYSHMB and they are from 18 to 50 years of age which is acceptable by civil service in the state.

    Among the cadres that were applied for are Medical officer, Pharmacist, Nursing, Physiotherapy, Medical Laboratory Scientist among others.
