The Remi Oseni Committee of Friends (ROCOF) has officially launched an initiative aimed at empowering artisans, traders, and other key players in Oyo State’s informal sector to enhance economic growth.

In a recent address, Remi Oseni, the committee’s leader, emphasised the importance of collective action.

“We are calling on all stakeholders in the informal sector to join Team ROCOF. Together, we can drive economic prosperity and uplift our communities.”

ROCOF highlighted its accomplishments over the past year, including the procurement of over 2,000 JAMB and WAEC forms for students across the state.

“Education is vital for our future, and we are committed to supporting our youth in their academic journeys,” Oseni remarked.

In addition to educational support, ROCOF has made strides in community infrastructure, having installed 22 transformers in various neighborhoods in 2024.

“Reliable electricity is crucial for both personal and economic development. These transformers have significantly improved the quality of life for many residents.”

Looking ahead, the committee planned to procure another 20 transformers for towns across Oyo State from June 2025 to June 2026.

“Access to essential resources is key to empowering our communities. We believe this initiative will foster growth and development.”

“The liberation of the downtrodden is a collective effort. We urge everyone to join Team ROCOF and be part of this transformative journey.”
