Rita Orji, has described the successful release of the abducted pupils and teachers from Oriire Local Government Area of Oyo State as a triumph of determined leadership and collective security efforts.
The victims regained their freedom on Friday after spending several weeks in captivity, bringing an end to months of anxiety for their families, the people of Oyo State and Nigerians who had continued to pray for their safe return.
In a statement made available to journalists, Hon. Rita said Governor Makinde displayed exceptional commitment and resilience throughout the rescue process, ensuring that every legitimate effort was explored to secure the freedom of the abducted pupils and teachers.
”The release of these innocent pupils and their teachers is a moment of joy and thanksgiving for every well meaning Nigerian. I congratulate Governor Seyi Makinde for his steadfast commitment and unwavering resolve throughout the difficult period of their captivity,” she said.
