Ahead of the forthcoming local government election in Oyo state, the campaign team of chairmanship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Hon Sanda Sikiru Oyedele and Vice-chairmanship candidate, Hon Ibrahim Oladebo Simple tagged “Lajue 2.0 in Egbeda local government has announced the ally of Governor Seyi Makinde, Otunba Seye Famojuro as the leader of the Advisory Council for the campaign team.
Hon Sanda, the Executive Chairman of Egbeda local government and chairman Oyo ALGON inaugurated a 118-member campaign committee to mobilize votes for all the party’s candidates ahead of the April 27 local government elections in Egbeda local government.
Hon. Sanda Sikiru Oyedele while announcing the committee and its chairmen at the party’s secretariat on Thursday, said the committee had the mandate to get a win in all the eleven wards of the local government for all the party candidates, ranging from the chairman, vice, and all the councillorship candidates.
Hon. Sanda noted that the committee was made up of party chieftains, stakeholders from one to eleven who had served the party (PDP) meritoriously at one level or the other the party attached huge importance to the committee and the task ahead of them.
According to him, the campaign council has Hon. Sunkanmi Babalola, the Majority leader of the Oyo State House of Assembly as the Director General, Otunba Adeseye Famojuro as chairman advisory council, and Elder Wole Oyelese as the grand patron campaign council
“The members of the committee were carefully selected owing to your abilities and the belief that they will collectively, as a committee, deliver the local government to the party.
“You are enjoined to work as a team and to carry everyone along. You are also recommended to reconcile seeming differences within the party which may have arisen following our primaries, for us to go into the elections as one family.
“I have no doubt this powerful committee will do us proud and win overwhelmingly for our dear party, PDP”.
