The Okanlomo of Oodua and Bada Olubadan of Ibadanland, Chief Jubril Dotun Sanusi, is set to be officially installed as the Gbonka Olubadan of Ibadanland on Friday in another significant milestone in the traditional chieftaincy hierarchy of Ibadanland.
The installation will be performed by the Olubadan of Ibadanland, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja, during a ceremony expected to attract traditional rulers, chiefs, political leaders, family members and well-wishers from within and outside Oyo State.
Chief Sanusi, a renowned businessman and philanthropist, is widely recognised for his humanitarian activities and support for community development.
Over the years, he has earned a reputation for empowering the less privileged through various charitable initiatives and interventions aimed at improving the welfare of residents across Ibadan and beyond.
His elevation to the prestigious title of Gbonka Olubadan is regarded as another landmark in his journey within the Ibadan traditional institution.
Many admirers and associates have congratulated him ahead of the installation, describing the honour as a fitting recognition of his longstanding commitment to service, philanthropy and the advancement of Ibadanland.
