Hajia Sen (Dr) Monsurat Sunmonu on Saturday 19th, organized a special prayer for Governor Seyi Makinde, appreciating God for his continued mercy, wisdom, power and sound health over his life.
In her address, She appealed to the clerics to continue to pray for peace in Oyo and for the Executive Governor of Oyo State, Engr. Seyi Makinde so that Allah may continue to strengthen him and guide him aright in all his undertakings.
She also charged the clerics to make a special prayer request for peaceful reign of new Alaafin and Oyo land. She requested prayers for all the political associates, seeking for total peace, victory and protection all the time.
in conclusion, she appreciate supports of all the clerics at time. She said: “We are sincerely appreciating your supports and prayers since the time, especially during the time of our struggling as evidenced in the success and stability we have enjoyed thus far. May the reign of ne Alaafin bring unprecedented development to Oyo land”
Imam Daud Igi-ogun in his sermon, lauded Governor Seyi Makinde for his bold step he took concerning the new Alaafin. He said: ” we the sons and daughters of Oyo laud Governor Seyi Makinde for his bold step he took concerning the thrown of Alaafin. We also appreciate him for the kind of well furnished, acceptable and modern king he approved for Oyo and Yoruba land in general”
The scholar also used the medium to pray for peace and development during the reign of Oba Owoade Akeem Abímbólá
