Members of the Oyo State House of Assembly have commended the Executive Chairman of Ibadan North Local Government, Hon. Oluwaseun Olufade, for his notable achievements at the grassroots, describing him as a “true replica of Governor Seyi Makinde at the grassroots.”
The commendation followed an oversight visit by the Oyo State House of Assembly to the Ibadan North Local Government Secretariat.
The delegation was led by Hon. Akintunde Olajide (AKT), Member representing Lagelu Constituency and Chairman, House Committee on Local Government.
Hon. Olajide said the primary purpose of the visit was to inspect the condition of structures, buildings and the environment of the Local Government Secretariat and to make recommendations for renovations and improvements to meet modern standards where needed.
During an inspection of the ongoing reconstruction of the Local Government Legislative Building, they commended Hon. Olufade for the beautiful structure, noting it stands out as the best Legislative Building in all 33 Local Governments of Oyo State.
On behalf of the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Debo Ogundoyin, Hon. Olajide expressed appreciation to Hon. Oluwaseun Olufade for the warm reception extended to members of the House. He also thanked political functionaries, management and staff of Ibadan North Local Government for their hospitality during the visit.
Hon. Olajide reminded Ibadan North staff that only under Governor Seyi Makinde’s administration have there been no delays in promotions and other entitlements, and urged continued support for the administration so that the progress known as “Omítuntun” may extend beyond 2027 in Oyo State. “GSM is tested and trusted. We count on your support and we will never disappoint,” he said.
Responding on behalf of the Executive Chairman, the Vice Chairman/Political Head of Aare Latosa LCDA lauded the Oyo State House of Assembly for the supportive oversight visits to Ibadan North and other local governments across the state. He described the visits as highly commendable and beneficial to grassroots development.
Hon. Ayoade also extended congratulations to Hon. Bamidele Adeola, Member representing Iseyin/Itesiwaju State Constituency, who celebrated his 50th birthday on the day of the visit. “On behalf of my boss, Hon. Oluwaseun Olufade, and the entire populace of Ibadan North Local Government, we rejoice with you and wish you many prosperous years, Sir,” he stated.
