Chairman of the Oyo State Pilgrims welfare board (Muslims wing), Sheik Hashim Atere, has commended Governor Seyi Makinde for the recent upgrades at Ibadan Airport.
In a statement released to the press, Sheik Hashim Atere expressed his appreciation for the state government’s commitment to improving infrastructure that directly benefits the community.
“The upgrade of Ibadan Airport is a significant step forward for Oyo State. This development will not only enhance the travel experience for our citizens but will also promote economic growth and accessibility for pilgrims heading to religious sites.”
Sheik Atere noted that these upgrades will particularly benefit those undertaking the Hajj pilgrimage and other religious journeys, allowing for smoother logistics and better travel arrangements.
“The renovation and expansion of the airport to international status are crucial. This will ensure that our pilgrims have access to reliable transportation and can embark on their spiritual journeys with ease.”
