The Honourable Minister of Power, Joseph Tegbe, has begun a statewide campaign in Oyo State to drum up support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the All Progressives Congress (APC).

The campaign opened with separate strategic engagements with party leaders, executives and community stakeholders from Ibadan South-East and Ibadan North Local Government Areas.

Making a strong case for the President’s re-election, Tegbe said the administration’s bold power sector reforms were already yielding modest improvements in a short time and positively affecting people’s lives.

He urged APC members in Oyo State to close ranks and deliver victory for President Tinubu and all the party’s candidates in the 2027 general elections.

“We will spare no effort to ensure that President Bola Tinubu gets re-elected in 2027, and we are not going to stop at that, as all the candidates of our great party will get our full backing,” he said.
Tegbe outlined several federal interventions in Oyo State, especially in the power sector. These include solar mini-grids to be built in different locations across the state, while electrification projects in Ogbomoso, Oke-Ogun and Ibarapa are nearing completion.
He said the projects would end years of epileptic power supply in the affected areas, expressing hope that the darkness in those parts of the state would soon become a thing of the past.
The APC governorship candidate in Oyo State, Barrister Sharafadeen Alli who also joined the meeting, affirmed the Minister’s capability and asked party members to support him with prayers. Other party leaders also expressed confidence that Tegbe would deliver on his mandate and meet the expectations of Nigerians.
