The Executive Chairman of Oluyole Local Government Area, Engr. Akeem Olatunji, has commiserates with Governor Seyi Makinde and the entire Makinde family over the passing of their elder brother, Engr. Sunday Makinde.

This was contained in a commiseration message made available to newsmen on Friday, January 24.

Olatunji described the deceased as a man who embodied humility, decency, and a sense of duty.

He praised the late elder Makinde for his exemplary character and immense contributions to the Makinde family’s legacy of integrity and service.

“Chief Muyiwa Makinde was not just an elder brother to our Governor; he was a pillar of strength and an embodiment of humility and decency.

“His demeanor and actions reflected a man deeply committed to family, community, and humanity. The Makinde family has lost a rare gem, and we in Oluyole LG join them in mourning this great loss.”

The council chairman highlighted the critical role the deceased played as a source of inspiration and support for not only the Aigbofa family but Governor Makinde’s.

He further described him as someone who stood firmly behind his younger brother’s vision for a better Oyo State.

Olatunji further urged the Makinde family to take solace in the fact that Engr. Sunday Makinde lived a life of purpose and impact.

In his words: “We are confident that his legacy of humility and decency will continue to resonate in the lives of those he touched.”

Olatunji also called on residents of Oluyole Local Government and Oyo State at large to remember the Makinde family in their prayers during this difficult period.

“Our thoughts and prayers are with Governor Seyi Makinde and his family. May Almighty God grant them the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss and may Engr Sunday Makinde’s soul rest in perfect peace,” the statement concluded.
