The State Chairman of Oyo Park Management System (PMS), Alhaji Wasiu Tomiwa Omolewa on Tuesday inaugurated taskforce to monitor traffic situation at Challenge area of Ibadan.

Tommy stated that the move became imperative for the leadership of PMS to set up the taskforce stating that the administration of Governor Seyi in Omituntun 1.0 spent huge amount of money on Felele /Challenge junction improvement.

The Chairman added that he had since noticed that some commercial vehicles had cultivated the habit of parking on the major road to pick passengers which he said always result to traffic jam in the axis.

Tommy urged members of the taskforce to ensure sanity is restored on the road with immediate effect.

In another development, Alhaji Wasiu Tomiwa Omolewa has urged members of the Park Management System to think outside the box by having other sources of income aside what they earn from the transportation sector.

According to him, the economic situation of the country requires that one must have other sources of income to be able to meet the demands and needs of family members.

A statement from his media aide reads:

” firstly, we thank the Almighty God for the success of our monthly PMS General Meeting.

“At the meeting, I set up a new task force to monitor the incessant illegal parkings by our public transporters around the Challenge axis which often results in flow of traffic obstruction.

“I encouraged members of the PMS in general to try as much as possible to diversify in trade and not have a single source of income.

“Multiple income sources is key to survival in this present economic brouhaha.

“And I encouraged our members to patronize and support members with great and viable business ideas which is the core essence of Drivers Union.

“Finally, I enjoined our members to cultivate the act of helping the needy or others in need as there’s great reward in it.

“The Executives, including myself led by example by helping two young blind boys and another with eye problem with financial assistance.

“The Lawyer of the organization was also introduced to the members for proper identification.

“May the Almighty make this year a prosperous one for us all.”
