In his bid to foster harmonious working relationship with different traffic agencies in Oyo State, the management of Park Management System (PMS), led by its Chairman, Ambassador Wasiu Tomiwa Omolewa (Tommy), on Tuesday paid a working visit to the operational headquarters of Oyo State Road Traffic Management Authority (OYRTMA).

According to Tommy, the purpose of the courtesy call was to introduce the State Executives of the PMS to the Executive Chairman of OYRTMA, Major Adesagba Adekoya (Rtd) and to seek seamless collaboration between the PMS and the agency.

Speaking further, Tommy noted that members of PMS across the 33 local government in the state have keyed into the sustainable traffic management and sustainable peace the administration of Governor Seyi Makinde is noted for.

“Earlier this Monday morning, I led My State Executives of Park Management System, PMS on a familiarisation visit to the office of the Executive Chairman of Oyo State Traffic Management Authority (OYRTMA), Major Adesagba Adekoya (Rtd) at the Operational Headquarter, Secretariat, Ibadan.

“The  purpose of the visit was to introduce the New Park Management System Executives and also to seek collaboration on areas needed.

“I made the Chairman of OYRTMA to understand that my admission is peaceful and very law abiding.

“The era of hooliganism, brigandage and disrespect to the rule of law is gone, I am here to make the people happy.

“We have started changing the narratives and assumption Oyo residents have formed about the Park Management System in the past few years.

“I urged the Chairman to always make himself available for us whenever we call on him for sensitisation of our people when it comes to road usage and the laws guiding it.”

In his remarks, the OYRTMA boss,  Major Adesagba Adekoya (rtd) who appreciated the courtesy visit expressed his profound gratitude to Governor  Seyi Makinde for the worthy appointment to serve in his Omitutun 2.0 administration.

Adesagba noted that his vision will be anchored on “Engineering, Enlightenment, Enforcement and Emergency Response.”

The OYRTMA boss added that driving against traffic and under the influence of alcohol and drugs that impaired driving judgement will not be condoned and thus, seek for the unflinching support from the PMS Chairman to work and cooperate with OYRTMA.

Alhaji Kasali Ajisafe, Secretary PMS Oyo State, while giving his address appreciated the OYRTMA Executive Chairman for the warm reception and hospitality given to them and promise that PMS Oyo State Chapter will strongly collaborate with the agency to move Oyo State forward because they are law abiding and peaceful people.

On his part, the General Manager OYRTMA,  Mr Adeoye Ayoade on his own, thanked the Park Management System for their support both financially and materially during the 2023 Ember Month Mega Rally that was held last month October.
