Tommy Urges Muslim Ummah To Increase Acts of Kindness, Generosity to Downtrodden at Ramadan

As Nigerian Muslims join their counterparts all over the world to observe this year’s Ramadan fast, the Oyo State Park Management System (PMS) Chairman, Amb. Alhaji Abdul-Wasiu Tomiwa Omolewa popular known as ‘Tommy’ has urged them to guard their tongue, and not judge others in the Holy month.

Tommy, in a statement issued in Ibadan on Monday to Oyo State  congratulates the Muslims faithful on the commencement of Ramadan fast, he described the month of Ramadan as a period of spiritual uplift and complete devotion to Allah, enjoining Muslim faithful to take advantage of it to strengthen their commitment to the service of Allah and humanity.

He said, “As we begin this year’s Ramadan fast, I bring warm greetings and congratulations to all Muslims who witness this holy month.”

“We must endeavour to increase our acts of kindness and generosity by showing love and extending hands of support to the poor and the needy, as it was the usual practice of Prophet Muhammad (SAW).

“Ramadan was more than abstention from food and drink from dawn to dusk, we need to help the needy, guard our tongue, and not judge others. That is Ramadan spirit.”

“I pray to Allah to accept all our acts of worship in this blessed month and reward us all abundantly, he added.”
