The Chairman of the Oyo State Park Management System (PMS), Alhaji Wasiu Tomiwa Omolewa popularly known as Tommy, has called on all transport stakeholders in the state to prioritise peace and safety as they enter the new year.

He emphasised the importance of collaborative efforts among drivers, park managers, and transport unions to maintain order and security at designated parks throughout the state.

Tommy urged stakeholders to commit to safe driving practices, particularly during the festive season when travel is at its peak, stressing that responsible driving is crucial for protecting lives and enhancing the overall reputation of the transport system in Oyo State.

In his New Year address, he also condemned illicit activities that can undermine the integrity of the parks and the transportation network.

Tommy highlighted the need for vigilance and integrity among all stakeholders to foster a positive environment.

Additionally, he expressed continued support for Governor Seyi Makinde’s administration, which is focused on improving infrastructure and services within the transport sector.

He encouraged transport operators to align with the governor’s initiatives aimed at enhancing the quality of life for residents.

Tommy urged all stakeholders to unite in their efforts for a safe, efficient, and respected transport system in Oyo State in 2025.
