Sport enthusiasts and youth development advocates across Egbeda/Ona Ara Federal Constituency have continued to pour glowing praises and encomium on the Egbeda/Ona Ara Federal House of Representatives hopeful, Hon. Tosin Alabi, following the successful hosting of a captivating five-aside football tournament tagged “Tosin Alabi Youth Unity Cup.”

Hon. Tosin Alabi, who hails from Aba Oloko, Ward 4 of Egbeda Local Government, organized the laudable competition through his philanthropic platform, the Tosin Alabi Foundation, as part of his commitment to youth inclusion, unity, and grassroots development within the constituency.

Speaking on the motivation behind the initiative, Hon. Tosin Alabi emphasized that unity among the youth remains a strong foundation for sustainable development.

He noted that the tournament was deliberately designed to foster love, teamwork, and peaceful coexistence among young people from different communities, while also serving as a platform to discover and nurture hidden football talents within Egbeda and Ona Ara.

The highly competitive five-aside football tournament was held at the FLX Sports Centre, opposite Mingles, Iwo Road, Ibadan, and featured eight vibrant teams drawn from Egbeda and Ona Ara Local Government Areas.

The participating teams included Tornadoes FC, Monatan FC, Olodo Stars, Iyana Church Base, Wakajaye Super, Al Nassr, Ajiwigbo Environ, and Star Family.

The tournament lived up to expectations, delivering thrilling football moments and attracting a large turnout of spectators from within and outside the two local governments.

At the end of the exciting competition, Al Nassr FC emerged as champions, carting home the coveted trophy alongside a ₦500,000 cash prize.

Star Family FC finished as runners-up with ₦350,000, while Iyana Church Base secured third position and received ₦250,000.

Overwhelmed by the scale and organisation of the tournament, participants and team officials expressed deep appreciation to Hon. Tosin Alabi for providing a conducive environment, quality officiating, and impressive prize rewards.

They offered prayers for God’s continued blessings upon him and the expansion of the Tosin Alabi Foundation, asking that all his heart’s desires be fulfilled.

Similarly, sports stakeholders and youth advocates across the constituency commended Hon. Tosin Alabi for what they described as a marvellous, well-organised, and impactful competition, noting that such initiatives would inspire young people to sharpen their talents, stay positively engaged, and give back to their communities.

They concluded that the Tosin Alabi Youth Unity Cup has set a new benchmark for grassroots sports development in Egbeda/Ona Ara Federal Constituency and stands as a clear demonstration of Hon. Tosin Alabi’s passion for youth empowerment and inclusive growth.
