The Oyo State Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Inclusion, Hon (Mrs) Toyin Balogun has congratulated all the newly elected executive members at the just concluded Southwest PDP Zonal Congress.
This was as the Honourable Commissioner commended Governor Seyi Makinde for ensuring the congress was rancour free. She however lauded the Governor for being a staunch promoted of female demographic.
The statement read:
“Hearty congratulations to all four Oyo State candidates(1) His Excellency Ambassador Arapaja: National Vice Chairman South,Hon Kemi Bello; National Ex Officio,Chief Mrs Modinat Adedibu; South West Woman Leader and Alh Azeez Ojetunde; Zonal Ex Officio respectively,who emerged from one of the most rancour and violence free Congress exercises in the history of our party,another masterstroke from the quintessential democrat & unifier; His Excellency Governor Makinde.
“I salute the hitch free and successful hosting exercise midwifed on the instruction of the Party and His Excellency by the amiable Party Chairman Hon Dayo Ogungbenro,our adroit Party Secretary;Hon Wasiu Adeleke and the rest of the organizing team.
“Also,on behalf of the women of Oyo State,I fullsomely appreciate and celebrate His Excellency for not only believing in the capacity of our women to add value ., but also supporting them onto platforms where their creativity ,capacity to add value and potentials can be showcased.
“By supporting the emergence of Chief(Mrs) Modinat Abosede Adedibu and Hon Kemi Bello on both the National and Zonal levers of management of the party,HE GSM has ensured that 50℅ of the topmost echelon of 2 of the decision making organs of the party representing Oyo state is held by women.
