In a powerful demonstration of unity and spiritual alignment, the traditional worshipers of Oyo State, drawn from all geopolitical zones, gathered in their thousands at the Ilaji International Mini Stadium yesterday to offer prayers for the peace and progress of Oyo State.

The event, which saw the full attendance of eminent traditional leaders, was led by His Eminence, the Olu Isese of Ibadanland, Araba Ifalere Odegbemi Odegbola II, alongside the Aare Isese of Oyo State, Aare Kunmi Egbelade, Oluaye Ogboni Aborigines, Kabiyesi Kazeem Alade, Olori Alagbaa of Ibadanland Oloye Ojeniyi, and Alhaja Rashidat Atipako. Other notable leaders included the President of the Traditional Council of Ifa Religion, Oloye Fayemi Fakayode, and Mogaji Oinibudo of Ibadanland, among several other distinguished Isese leaders from across the state.

In their goodwill messages, the traditional leaders openly acknowledged the steadfast financial support of the Jagunmolu Olubadan of Ibadanland, Chief Jubril Dotun Sanusi, for sacrifices (Ètùtù) that have been instrumental in sustaining peace across Ibadan and Oyo State. Araba Ifalere Odegbemi Odegbola specifically lauded Chief Sanusi for his unwavering commitment to ensuring harmony and stability, underscoring the significance of his contributions to the welfare of the state.

The traditional leaders, representing Oyo, Ogbomosho, Oke Ogun, and Ibarapa zones, declared their unflinching support for Chief Jubril Dotun Sanusi’s gubernatorial bid for 2027. They offered special prayers for his success and for the continued prosperity of Oyo State under his potential leadership.

The gathering concluded with a dedicated prayer session as the leaders of the traditional worshipers rallied around Chief Sanusi, affirming their hope and belief in his movement toward the Government House come 2027.
