Our attention has been drawn to the recent publication and statements credited to certain individuals parading themselves as “loyalists” of Amb.Taofeek Arapaja regarding the speculated political decisions of our leader.

Ordinarily, we would have ignored such distractions, but it has become necessary to set the record straight and expose the hypocrisy of those whose political relevance has always been tied to personal gains rather than genuine loyalty and conviction.

True loyalty to Amb Taofeek Oladejo Arapaja is demonstrated by those who genuinely believe in his vision, leadership, and political direction. Loyalty is not built on convenience, selfish ambition, or momentary political calculations. It is rooted in trust, commitment, and the understanding that leadership often requires strategic decisions for the greater good.

Those now publicly distancing themselves from Arapaja’s political choices have clearly shown that their allegiance was never to the ideals, principles, and vision he represents, but merely to what they stood to gain from associating with him. Such individuals cannot, in all honesty, be regarded as loyalists. They are political opportunists whose interests begin and end with personal benefits.

It is laughable that some who claim to be foot soldiers are questioning the political judgment of a man whose years of sacrifice, resilience, and strategic engagements have shaped the political landscape of Oyo State and beyond.

Leadership is not a market square debate where every strategic move must be subjected to public approval before execution.

Arapaja remains a respected political leader whose decisions are guided by wisdom, experience, and an unshaken commitment to the progress of his people. His political journey, past and present, has always been defined by courage and conviction, not fear or sentiment.

We therefore urge these so-called loyalists to stop misleading the public and deceiving themselves.

If they cannot stand by their leader in moments of strategic decision-making, they have no moral right to lay claim to loyalty.

As history has always proven, true loyalists stand with their leader not only in comfort, but in conviction.

Signed:
Concerned and Genuine Loyalists of Amb. Taofeek Oladejo Arapaja
