The Executive Chairman Water Corporation of Oyo State, Dr. Adebayo Adepoju has been honoured with the appointment of an International Peace Advocate today by United Nations-POLAC Foundaton.
Dr.Anthony Adebayo Adepoju popularly known as Ibarapa Kan earned his doctoral degree in business management and Administration at the prestigious J. Mack Robinson College of Business, Georgia State University.
The appointment which was initiated by POLAC Foundation’s mandate to enhance effectiveness to the United Nations’ sustainable Development Goals and UNESCO culture of peace project for mainterance
of peace, security and restoration of human dignity will be held at Nigerian National Merit Award House,
Aguyi Ironsi Street, Maltama, Abuja.
According to a letter of nomination endorsed by the Director-General of the foundation, nomination
of the WCOS boss was premised on exhibition of proven integrity, ideals of living for the sake of others, commitment to moral values, strong fomily life, social harmony, inter-religious and ethnic co-operation
and the culture of peace.
The appointment affords the recipient the opportunity to be called upon for peace making, conflict resolution and other activities that encourage peace and positive living in line with the best international
practice.
