Engr. Abduljelyl Adekunle Karheem, MCIArb, MCIOB, MCABE, is in a celebratory mood.
His first child, Abdullahi, just earned a master’s degree in Management Information Systems from the prestigious Lamar University in Beaumont, Texas, United States.
The chairman of Afia Construction & Building Engineering and Afia Homes and Properties shared the great news with City People in a telephone chat.
Engr Karheem, who doubles as the Mogaji of Adanla Compound in Ibadan and Turaki Adini of Oyo State, described Abdullahi as a very brilliant young man, and a good example for his younger
siblings to emulate
He said, “Sometimes, in 1998, I staked it all, and the only thing left was Abdullahi, a 2-year-old boy. Alhamdulillah, I thank God the project didn’t fail. Today is one of my happiest days. I am here with his junior brother, Mohammed _ al_Ameen Olakunle Karheem, who is a student of Cyber Security at the University of Greenwich, London, United Kingdom.”
Abdullahi Olalekan Karheem, 28, received his first degree from the University of Ilorin, Kwara State. He worked briefly at Delta Airlines’ Lagos office and the IT Department of Stanbic IBTC Bank before pursuing his master’s at Lamar University.
Abdullahi is presently the Managing Director of Afia Construction and Building Engineering, where he’s putting his international experience to good use in driving the company to greater heights.
