By dint of sheer hard work, Hon Barrister Rita Orji has successfully etched her name in the annals of Lagos State and Ajeromi/Ifelodun federal constituency’s political history.
When the story of Lagos contemporary political history will be written, she will get a sizeable mention, but if the mention will be negative or positive depends on who the writer and his or her biases are.
Having invested hugely in sustaining PDP, especially in Lagos and her federal constituency and having paid her dues and contested for the as House of Representatives candidate in 2015 where she won with landslide, she remainsn competent and eligible to vote and be voted for in the nearest future having performed excellently in her first stint at the green chamber.
Hon Rita Orji, however, urged all groups and interests, particularly from her federal constituency (Ajeromi/Ifelodun), to remain calm.
She stated that her priority for now is to unite the party and encourage others to remain united prior to, during and until after the reconciliation which is ongoing in our great party. In her words:
“We should be cautious of being driven by emotions or sentiments, capable of distracting us from our collective pursuit as one indivisible and formidable entity.
“This is toward the repositioning of our great party to what every member would be proud of.
“We remain an advocate of Ajeromi/Ifelodun First project and as such, will not indulge in any act capable of dividing the party than uniting it.
