The Oyo State Government on Thursday declared a Court order to demolish buildings used by suspected Yoruba Nation agitators and Yufeng Recycling Resources where dangerous weapons and substances were housed for nefarious activities.
Speaking with newsmen at the demolished operational headquarters used by the Yoruba Nation agitators, the Commissioner for Lands Survey and Urban Development, Mr. Akin-Funmilayo Williams, stated that the State Government through the Commissioner for Justice and Attorney-General, Barrister Abiodun Aikomo secured the injunction at the State High Court on the 16th April, 2023.
He added that both buildings did not only house dangerous weapons, the activities carried out in there is a threat to peace and tranquility of the state.
While guaranteeing people around the communities and Oyo State at large, safe and secure environment, the Commissioner urged them to be cautious of happenings in their environment.
Some residents at Odo Dudu, Ayegun Area, said the promoter of Yoruba Nation agitators stormed the community in military uniform brandishing dangerous weapons stating that President Bola Oodua Republic had been declared.
Goalpoacher News had reported that the Oyo State Government had on Monday demolished the buildings believed to be Yoruba Nation agitators under the leadership of Mrs Modupe Onitiri-Abiola were operating from in the state capital.
Newsmen also inspected the demolished Yufeng recycling resources Nig. Limited, where dangerous substances for the processing of lithium were kept.
