An educationist, Dr Kazeem Akande has stated reasons for the need to introduce new Education policy in Nigeria.
The educationist explained that the policy is necessary in a bid to improve education in Nigeria, through the introduction of new education policy in schools.
He added that In a bid to achieve this, there is need for the government to hire the service of interested active retired teachers who would take core subjects at the senior Secondary School classes In secondary schools .
He said this in an interview with journalist during his graduation ceremony on Thursday after one month short course at the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies NIPSS ,Jos, Plateau state .
Akande graduate alongside other prominent Nigerians from the institute that teaches policy strategy and leadership in Nigeria.
According to Akande the event is Organised in a bid to have the knowledge of all education policies and as well give the participants an opportunity to introduce his or her own proposed policy .
The educationist who is the founder, Easy Prevarsity University intended to propose a policy on the introduction of the recruitment of active retired teachers who are passionate and ready to take core subjects in schools in a way to improve the secondary school education system.
Akande who revealed that the purpose of attending the course was meant to introduce the policy explained that the policy will help improve educational system in Oyo state and Nigeria at Large.
He said “ if given the opportunity to attend the senior executive course, SEC 46 to be held in the institute by February, I will officially present the formulation, implementation strategies, monitoring and evaluation of the policy “
While the Educationist who is also a philanthropist stated that apart from introducing new policy into the education system , he will be voluntarily organise a training for Local Government Councilors on Peace, Policy, Strategy and Leadership adding that the training is meant to improve leadership skills of the local government employees.
