The People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Oyo State, and the entire nation have lost a true leader, a great politician, and a man of immense character, Chief Yekini Adeojo. It is with profound sadness and a heavy heart that I, Chief Luqman Oyebisi Ilaka, former Chief of Staff to His Excellency, Engr. Seyi Makinde, and Ladilu of Oyo Kingdom In a press statement made available to newsmen by his Aide on Digital Communication, Kehinde Owolabi Reads:

“I extend my deepest condolences to the Adeojo family, the Peoples Democratic Party, and the people of Oyo State on this irreplaceable loss.
Chief Yekini Adeojo, who was the Deputy National Chairman (South) of our great party, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), was more than just a political leader.

“He was a father, a mentor, and a guiding force in the political landscape of Oyo State and Nigeria at large. The bond I shared with him was nothing short of that of a father and son—a relationship rooted in love, respect, and a shared vision for the progress of our people. My relationship with Chief Yekini Adeojo was marked by a constant exchange of wisdom and support. Under his tutelage, I learned what it truly meant to serve the people, and I owe much of my political journey to his mentorship. His exemplary leadership was the backbone that shaped not only my path but the future of many in the PDP and the entire Oyo State.

“Chief Yekini Adeojo’s political legacy cannot be overstated. As one of the founding members of the Adeojo Vanguard, a group that played a significant role in the political renaissance of Oyo State in 1999 and 2003. His wisdom, courage, and unwavering commitment to democratic ideals were the driving forces behind the success of our party and the progress we made as a state.
Chief Adeojo was a true servant leader who believed in the collective good, always prioritizing the interests of his people above all else. His loss is not only a blow to the PDP and Oyo State but also to Nigeria, as we have lost a man whose political acumen and integrity were unrivaled.

“As we mourn the passing of this great son of the soil, I pray that his soul finds eternal peace and that his family, the PDP, and the people of Oyo State find strength during this difficult time. Chief Adeojo’s contributions to our party, our state, and our nation will never be forgotten, and his legacy will continue to inspire us all.

“Once again, my heartfelt condolences go to the Adeojo family and to all those who mourn this loss. May God grant us all the fortitude to bear this great pain.”
