Member representing Ibarapa Central and Ibarapa North Federal Constituency, Hon. (Dr.) Anthony Adebayo Adepoju, has celebrated the Executive Governor of Oyo State, Engr. Seyi Makinde on the occasion of his 56th birthday.
Hon. Adepoju’s congratulatory message was contained in a statement made available to newsmen in Ibadan on Monday through his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Hassan Adesodi Olaoniye.
Ibarapakan, in his birthday text to the governor, described Makinde as an invincibly indefatigable public servant whose compelling and infectious leadership style has brought hope and development to the good and prosperous people of Oyo State.
While celebrating the governor, Hon. Adepoju said Gov. Makinde’s birth, coinciding with the birthday of Jesus Christ, is divine, describing him as an ideal leader guided by compassion and commitment to serving others.
According to the lawmaker, Gov. Makinde’s purposeful strides in leadership since his election in 2019 has made Oyo State the most sought-after destination for investors and those who look for an economically viable state to live in.
“I join well-meaning Nigerians on the occasion of the 56th birthday of a political doyen, democrat, patriot and selfless public administrator of high repute.
“It is a blessing in the Nigerian political landscape to have a service-oriented figure with 21st-century leadership skills like Governor Makinde, whose way of life has transformed Oyo State into a place of opportunities and economic growth.”
Describing Gov. Makinde as a man of his word, Ibarapakan asked the good people of Oyo State to use the moment of Christmas as well as the birthday of Engr. Seyi Makinde to show love and kindness to others as true signs of the life that Jesus Christ and Gov. Makinde portray.
The Deputy Chairman House Committee on Federal Character however, wished the governor more strength, longevity and the ability to achieve all his pro-people’s policies under Omituntun 2.0.
