The lawmaker representing Akinyele Constituency 1 at the Oyo State House of Assembly, Hon Lekan Abiola has distributed food items and cash gifts among others to constituents, members and chieftains of the Peoples Democratic Party in Akinyele local government.
Recall that Hon Abiola had empowered members of his constituents with equipment worth millions of naira and he subsequently donated his three months salaries to the downtrodden in his constituency.
While distributing the Christmas items on Saturday, the astute lawmaker said the gesture was to fulfil the spirit of giving that Christmas portrays so that the beneficiaries abd their families can celebrate Yuletide season with ease and joy. owing to high cost of living in the country.
The lawmaker was quoted to said, ‘I’m grateful to Almighty Allah for the spirit of kind-heartedness to support numerous families and spread love during this significant period.
“I will continue to consolidate good policies and programmes that will have direct bearing on the lives of the good people of Akinyele constituency 1.”
Hon Abiola further called for residents support and prayers at Christmas.
The items distributed included, hundreds of bags of rice, over 250 chickens, turkeys, goats and cash gifts worth millions of naira.
Some of the beneficiaries extolled the lawmaker’s sterling leadership style adding that the level of his generosity is unprecedented in Akinyele local government.
