Zonal Congress: Arapaja Lauds Makinde, PDP, Promises to Take Party to Greater Heights

A former Deputy-Governor Governor of Oyo State and the Oyo State candidate for the forthcoming zonal Congress of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Ambassador Taofeek Arapaja has  commended Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde following his nomination as the candidate of the party for the zonal Congress billed to hold on 6th March, 2021.

GOALPOACHER NEWS had reported on how Governor presented Arapaja as the candidate from Oyo State for the position of National Vice-Chairman.

A press statement issued and signed by tArapaja, reads in part:

“I, Amb.Taofeeq Arapaja, wholeheartedly appreciate the entire stakeholders of our dear party – People’s Democratic party under the  kind leadership of His Excellency, Governor Seyi Makinde for nominating me as the Chairmanship candidate for the forthcoming Zonal Congress. No doubt, it’s a call to duty and I am ready to harness all available machineries to take our dear party to it’s deserving level.”

“Apparently, it’s a great challenge given to me, considering the current state of our party in the Zone; having just one state under our umbrella though we are all aware that it was due to the polarization which we were unable to contain. Verily, it’s new era.”

“Our first assignment as would be to bring unity, love, team spirit and productivity to the party while positioning it for the next Election so that we can Coast to victory. We shall encourage all inclusiveness as this is the only way to foster peace and unity.”

“I hereby accept this call to duty in good faith and implore all members of the party across all states within the zone to support this agenda of unification.”

“I am seeking for your votes, support and prayer in order to move the party to the greater height.

Thank you all and be assured of my total commitments to this assignment.”

Signed:
Ambassador Taofeeq Oladejo Arapaja
Oyo State Deputy Governor
2007 – 2011
