• Oladayo Ogunbowale is Clergy, a media and Communications professional, involved in Fact checking, youth development, a Peace, Democracy and good governance advocate and social media buff.

• His experience spans across Media/Communication project design, incubation, developing (social) media campaigns for social causes and policy development for organizations and government agencies.

• He recently completed a series of training on Fact checking with ICFJ, AfricaCheck, Africa Resilience Network and the US Consulate general, Lagos, respectively.

• An alumnus of Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Oladayo holds numerous media advocacy and training fellowships to wit;
February 2019, he was among selected broadcast journalists in Nigeria that was trained by former CNN senior producer and Howard University Professor; Prof Jennifer Thomas during a media proficiency training organised by the United States consulate general, Lagos, Nigeria.

• May 2018 and 2019, he was selected for Youthhub Africa, Child Rights Media Advocacy Fellowship supported by Malala Fund.

• By March 2018, he was on a select media personality team that interacted with the Nigerian Vice president (Prof Yemi Osinbajo) at his residence in the Presidential Villa, Aso Rock, Abuja, Nigeria.

• November 2018, in recognition of his contributions to building democracy via Peace journalism as a News and Public affairs analyst on foremost media platforms across the nation as well as published and delivered academic research.

• He is the founder of Shanah Initiative for Human Development (SIHD), a CAC registered Youth focussed non governmental organisation.

• Until January 2020, he led the Business Development Unit, was a Program producer and News analyst at Metropolitan Broadcasting Services, owners of Nigeria’s premier business radio; IBR 92.5FM and IATV.

• He pioneered and presented the first and only Development programme in radio in Oyo State; ‘Development Update’ a weekly radio program designed for stakeholders in the Development (NGO/CSO/CBO) sector and also doubled as Lead News analyst on Radio and TV (Oluyole 98.5FM & BCOS TV) at the prestigious Broadcasting Corporation of Oyo State (BCOS).

• He has just been appointed Special Assistant on Communications to the governor of Oyo State, Nigeria, Engineer ‘Seyi Makinde.
