…Demand Neutral Aspirant as Consensus Candidate

Leaders and stakeholders of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ido local government area of Oyo State have appealed to Governor Seyi Makinde to Disqualify the Executive Chairman of Ido local government Hon Sheriff Adeojo Sand Kolawole Sheu Adedeji for creating division in the party.

This comes as the duo claim they had been endorsed by elders and leaders of the party.

Alhaji Alani Omoade a PDP stalwart who frowned at the claims by the duo, warned that if they were not checked and disqualified from the race, he stressed that the party will never win any election in Ido.

He added that supporters of the Executive Chairman and Kolawole Sheu Adedeji have been threatening to deal decisively with any leader who opposes their nomination.

“Ido PDP is gradually returning to the era of political violence and brigandage, we were harassed, threatened and almost beaten by over zealous supporters of the the duo.

“We are living in palpable fear, we call on Governor Seyi Makinde do the needful before the situation degenerate further.

“We didn’t endorse anyone as our consensus candidate. The sponsored news by duo emanated from the figment of their imaginations.”

He therefore called on Alhaji Ayuba and other notable leaders to select the process of picking a neutral aspirant as consensus candidate.
